Guild Wars 1: Sale und Patchnotes vom 1. Mai

In der vergangenen Woche, am 26. April, feierte Guild Wars 1 seinen 14ten Geburtstag. Das Geschenk dazu kommt einige Tage später. Das Spiel ist aktuell im Sale und hat einen neuen Patch mit kleineren Verbesserungen bekommen.

Guild Wars 1 im Sale

Im offiziellen Guild Wars 1 Store gibt es aktuell 50% Rabatt auf alle Versionen. Die Complete Collection mit allen vier Kapiteln bekommt ihr für 19,99 Euro. Die einzelnen Teile könnt ihr für jeweils 9,99 Euro erwerben, falls euch nur ein spezielles Kapitel fehlt.

Die Rabatt-Aktion gilt jedoch nur für die tatsächlichen Spielversionen. Erweiterungen wie das Bonus-Mission-Pack oder das 2008er Upgrade gibt es nicht im Angebot.

Der Sale läuft laut Twitter bis zum 7. Mai. Eine genaue Uhrzeit für das Ende der Aktion gibt es nicht.

Patchnotes vom 1. Mai

Der Patch am 1. Mai brachte Guild Wars 1 unter einem einen Master Volume Slider, mit dem sich die Gesamtlautstärke des Spiels regeln lässt. Zusätzlich lässt sich nun das Mitdrehen vom Kompass deaktivieren und eine neue Ingame-Uhr wurde eingeführt.

Aus grafischer Sicht gibt es seit dem Patch einen neuen Fenstermodus, der die Taskleiste sichtbar lässt, und eine Option zum Limitieren der FPS. Außerdem ist das Augur der Kormir Kleidungsset zurück, welches einige Jahre lang nicht kaufbar war.

Abgerundet werden die Patchnotes mit allerhand Bug-Fixes.

Store

  • The Augur of Kormir costume has returned to the Official Guild Wars Store.

Audio

  • Added a Master Volume slider.

Camera

  • Increased the frequency at which movement direction is updated when holding and dragging the left mouse button to walk.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the camera to rotate in a seemingly random direction when the player character stops after having held the left mouse button to walk.

General

  • Added a new option to lock compass rotation.
  • Added an in-game clock.
    • The new clock has 3 different modes: Off, Local Time, and Server Time.
  • Fixed an issue that could prevent character name floaters from properly updating their color and guild tags, most commonly after changing maps.
  • Fixed an NPC pathing behavior issue.
  • Fixed a server crash.
  • Fixed a client crash.
  • Fixed a client/server desync related to movement.
  • Refactored the Options panel to better handle resizing it.

Graphics

  • Renamed the „Advanced“ option to „Enhanced Draw Distance“ to better self-document its functionality.
  • Added a new „Windowed Borderless“ resolution mode.
    • This mode functions similar to the „Windowed Fullscreen“ mode, but keeps the Windows Taskbar visible.
  • Added a Frame Limiter option.
    • The Frame Limiter functionality has been improved and will now more accurately target the desired FPS.
    • The Frame Limiter has 4 modes: None (no limit), 30 FPS, 60 FPS, and Monitor Refresh Rate, which uses your primary display’s refresh rate as the target FPS.
    • This option will be overridden with the preexisting -fps command line argument, which will continue to function as it did previously.

Hotfix

  • Fixed a server crash.
  • Fixed a client crash
  • Reverted change to the number of henchmen in a party in Heroes Ascent
  • Reverted balance changes to a few skills
